Holy See The official site with several languages giving papal and curial texts, news and some content from L'Osservatoire Romano.  One of the most attractive areas is the one dealing with the Jubilee 2000.

Congregation for the Clergy   A useful site for information for priests and deacons.  Plus the Catechism is available for download in rich text format and this can be read in any standard word processor.  The site is slow.  There are many articles related to priestly and diaconal ministry and life.  These com from both official and unofficial sources.  The whole feel of the site is one of giving support and encouragement to the clergy.

Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith

Fides  The Vatican's missionary news service.

Cardinal Ratzinger  The Cardinal Ratzinger fan club site is a delightful site with a lovely mix of the profound and serious with some light hearted stuff.  Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger is head of the Catholic Church's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, whose mission is to "to promote and safeguard the doctrine on the faith and morals throughout the Catholic world" (John Paul II).

25 Glorious Years!  An advertisement for an event at Christendom College read: "Join Francis Cardinal Arinze, Marcus Grodi, and Christendom’s Faculty as they Celebrate 25 Glorious Years of Pope John Paul II’s Pontificate."  Twenty-five glorious years? Where have they been living? The planet Zog? With the sordid details of the disintegration of the human element of the Church having been splashed across the world’s front pages for decades, isn’t it a tad overdone to call the past 25 years "glorious"?
